Some are tributes. Some are mistakes. Some are family history, bad decisions, acts of rebellion, private jokes, love letters, scars, warnings, memories, or proof that you made it through something.

We’re creating a short-form documentary series about the art people carry on their skin, and the stories behind it.

Maybe it’s your grandfather’s Navy tattoo.
Your mum’s Olympic rings.
A matching tattoo from a friendship that survived everything.
A cover-up from a life you left behind.
A symbol of grief, survival, identity, stupidity, love, or one very strange night out.
